The dawn broke rather misty and cloud covered, a sure sign that today will be sunny and hot! After breakfast we explored the Yanayacu River, some of us by kayak, and some of by skiff. Pink and gray river dolphins swam around our chosen watercraft, teasing us as we tried to take pictures of them!
Our afternoon was spent on the small Nauta Caño. Pushing through several strangleholds of water hyacinth, we pushed upriver until we could go no further. The bird life was absolutely gorgeous, especially the kingfishers, who performed aerial acrobatics as they chased fish in the small creek again and again.
