You can go hiking in the mountains, you can see harbor seals on rocky shorelines, and you can go for a Zodiac cruise to admire the view just about everywhere in Southeast Alaska. Once a trip, we go back in time, traveling up an arm to see the carvers of this land. I find our fjord days to be the most breathtaking because of the ancient, icy forces of nature that we call tidewater glaciers. I am in awe of their color, their calm yet dramatic presence, and their power.
After admiring majestic South Sawyer Glacier, we cruised towards the entrance of the fjord at William’s Cove. Here we explored the aftermath, the coastal temperate rainforest, which is underused and overgrown in all the right ways.
