Today we visited three tributaries of the Amazon River. Before breakfast, we boarded skiffs to explore the area of Supay, where the highlights included the rare and recently re-named from white-browed titi monkey (formerly known as the dusky titi monkey) and a southern tamandua anteater. Both animals are rarely seen, and this was our first sighting so far on our expedition. After breakfast, we traveled to Iricahua for a treat – sightings of both scarlet macaws as well as blue-and-yellow macaws. After a nice lunch at the Yarapa River, we saw even more monkeys and macaws.
