We spent the day following Charles Darwin’s steps on Santiago Island. In the early morning, we visited the nesting grounds of Pacific green sea turtles on Espumilla Beach. After breakfast, our water activities started at Buccaneer Cove. Guests were delighted with opportunities for kayaking, deep-water snorkeling, and glass-bottom boat tours. The waters were warm today, and we observed a breathtaking number of fish. We counted more than 20 whitetip reef sharks below the glass-bottom boat. In the afternoon, we spent time on the black sandy beach with an option to walk along the coastal area. We explored the intertidal pools and observed seabirds, marine iguanas, and Galapagos fur seals. What a great day. Galapagos is full of surprises!
