On our second day of exploration along the coasts of Costa Rica and Panama, we visited the beautiful, calm waters of Golfo Dulce in the inside of the Osa Peninsula on the southwest coast of Costa Rica. With our trusty Zodiacs, we landed on Playa Blanca and took short bus rides to different destinations to learn how Costa Ricans make a living in these remote areas. We also saw and tasted many of the delicious crops cultivated here, such as chocolate, heart of palm, vanilla, and more. Aside from this, we got a chance to walk and explore a little more of the forest under the lead of our expert naturalist.
In between our morning and afternoon activities, our galley and crew brought a wonderful lunch to the beach. It was a great day and a full one as we continue to make our way to Panama and the Panama Canal.
