Today we visited the northern island of Genovesa. It is considered to be a bird paradise and a wonderful place to end a fantastic week.
The morning and the afternoon were spent at the visitor’s sites of Darwin Bay and Prince Phillip's Steps. Here we observed the red-footed boobies nesting in the incense trees and on the red mangrove trees along the beach. Furthermore, the great frigatebirds were still courting, displaying their red gular sacks, and the chicks of the Nazca boobies could be seen all around. How can we describe a place that seems like Garden of Eden? You have to come and experience it. It was another amazing day on board the National Geographic Endeavour II.
