During yet another day of unusually spectacular weather numerous activities in Haines were enjoyed by all who participated. The flightseers had wonderful views of the ice field and glaciers that flow from it into Glacier Bay National Park. The raft floaters got numerous chances to see bald eagles along the Chilkat River. There was also a group of intrepid fishermen who were gone most of the day at a fishing lodge.
Lunch was onshore at a salmon bake, which was followed by a performance by a native dance troop.
The afternoon was enjoyed on deck as the Sea Bird moved south down Lynn Canal. The picture is of Sullivan Island in the foreground and the coastal range on the east side of the canal.
