Today onboard National Geographic Endeavour II we visited Bartolome Island, where we hiked to enjoy one of the most famous landscapes of the Galapagos Islands.
Bartholome is an amazing geological spot, since here you can find spatter cones, scoria and tuff formations, and endemic pioneer plants. After the hike, we explored the underwater world with snorkeling activities and the glass bottom boat. We spotted Pacific green sea turtles, Galapagos penguins, white tipped reef sharks, starfish, sea urchins, and more.
After lunch, we navigated to Sombrero Chino Islet. We had another round of snorkeling in calm, warm, and turquoise clear water. Perfect conditions to enjoy our stunning underwater world. While some guests were snorkeling, others had fun kayaking and paddleboarding around.
Later in the day, we had the chance to explore the shores with our Zodiacs, a perfect way to photograph our Galapagos penguins on the rocks. This was another wonderful day in paradise aboard National Geographic Endeavour II.
