Today, we shed our anxieties from air travel and tight schedules and embraced a leisurely day at sea aboard Sea Cloud. During the previous night, our navigation was motoring north, so today, we could use the north wind to leisurely sail south. And sail we did. The deckhands took to the rat lines after bracing the yards, unfurled, and then set a number of sails. Our day was a day of leisure, to crack open a book, enjoy the company of new friends, and enjoy brief sightings of dolphins on the bow.
The day ended with a welcome cocktail dinner hosted by Captain Sergey Komakin. Altogether, the perfect beginning to our exploration of the Cycladic Islands.
