Camp on the edge of Greenland’s ice sheet
Most travelers head for Greenland’s more populated western part when seeking Arctic adventure, but our newest extension takes you to seldom-visited East Greenland for a one-of-a-kind experience few ever get to enjoy. Venture to our luxury safari-style camp at the very edge of the ice sheet, near the mighty Sermilik Fjord, to sleep under the stars and revel in the pure wildness and unspoiled scenery of this epic territory. In an intimate group of 12 or less, you’ll hike across frozen tundra with Arctic wildflowers in bloom; get up close to fjords and floating islands on Zodiac and kayak excursions; photograph granite peaks and rushing waterfalls; and visit the home villages of Inuit people as you explore local customs and culture. There may even be an opportunity to glimpse the northern lights—a perfect way to mark this incomparable itinerary.

Go heli-hiking on an Icelandic glacier
Iceland’s landscape is like no other on Earth, teeming with geysers, boiling mud pots, lava fields, glacial caves, and much more. And now you can observe the “Land of Fire and Ice” from a unique viewpoint. We’ve partnered with Iceland’s premier helicopter company to design a thrilling excursion that lets you marvel at the country’s sheer beauty from above, as well as up close and on foot (in some cases, with crampons strapped to your shoes!) Over the course of three days you’ll hike across Mýrdalsjökull glacier, a relatively unknown spot; don a hard hat and head deep into an ice cave, with a geologist guide at your side; go heli-hiking in Kerlingarfjöll, a mountainous geothermal area; and enjoy delicious dinners and overnight stays in the lush green valley of Húsafell, a region tucked alongside glaciers and dotted with hot springs.
