After a long night of dodging flotsam in Johnstone Strait and the Strait of Georgia, we managed to leave a persistent swell behind us and transit Porlier Pass into Trincomali Channel. Rounding Panther Point at the south end of Wallace Island, we anchored in short tidal chop and readied the expedition landing crafts for our morning tours. By the time we loaded the first round of boats, the fresh breeze had blown most of the clouds away, revealing what was to become a beautiful bluebird day!
