This morning we awoke traveling north through the Strait of Georgia and encountered several humpback whales off the bow. At one point, we spotted a mother and calf, and the youngster breached multiple times just off the bow of the ship. After lunch we anchored in Desolation Sound for kayaking and bushwhacking – quite a stunning place indeed! Explorers found slugs, river otters, harbor seals, and intertidal oysters on the nearby shores. After another great day in British Columbia, we finished out the evening with another delicious dinner from the chef.
