We had high expectations for our first full day in Spain and the iconic city of Valencia didn’t disappoint, as it has literally everything!
As we docked, we felt the beginning of summer in the air; it was fresh, with moderate temperatures, and blue skies. Our buses were standing by, and we stepped off the ship ready to explore this city filled with science and culture. We started with a nice drive to get to know some of the buildings that have placed this city on the map, rapidly becoming a “must visit” while in Spain. The panoramic tour brought us to the area where paella was born. Of course, our main meal today consisted of Paella Valenciana which is made in the traditional way and accompanied by wine…lots of it!
Right after lunch, our guests were given the option to explore town, including the City of Arts and Sciences and the Oceanografic de Valencia, both special attractions to experience.
Music was a great finale for a great day and we’re looking forward to what tomorrow will bring!
