Today, we started our morning already anchored in Fortuna Bay. The plan was to offload a group early for a hike from Fortuna Bay over to Stromness, following in the footsteps of Sir Ernest Shackleton as he hiked over South Georgia to reach Stromness. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans. Overnight, new snow fell at elevation and made the hike too dangerous to offer. Instead, we repositioned the ship to Stromness and offered guests a chance to stretch their legs during a hike to Shackleton Waterfall. We then repositioned over to Godthul. In a safe harborage, we offered Zodiac cruises along the bay.
