As we made our way into St. Andrews Bay this morning, our senses were once again overloaded as the smell of guano wafted over the bow. What initially seemed like dirt and rocks on the beach, started to move and took forms of elephant seals galumphing and king penguins pottering. The wind direction was in our favor, and it was such a privilege to be able to get ashore and share the scene with the hundreds of thousands of seals and birds that call this place home.

The weather gods shone on us again this afternoon at Godthul where we enjoyed a sunny Zodiac cruise amongst soaring light-mantled albatross and porpoising penguins. Whilst we were above water, the divers enjoyed the pleasure of sunny rays shining through the kelp to a seafloor covered in colorful invertebrates.
