Today we visited two small and interesting islands: South Plaza in the north part of Santa Cruz, and Santa Fe to the east. These islands are home to the Galapagos land iguana and the Santa Fe land iguana. These islands are also home to two different species of prickly pear cacti, both with characteristics that make them unique to the place where they live. In addition, we observed a number of sea birds and a few colonies of the iconic Galapagos sea lions.
