Anchored at Santiago Island, we started our day of exploration with a pre-breakfast walk on Espumilla Beach, where we spotted the archipelago’s top predator, the Galapagos hawk. After a delicious buffet breakfast, we had the opportunity of choosing to go on a Zodiac ride or go snorkeling. Then the ship navigated to Buccaneer’s Cove for a sunset walk. We disembarked at Puerto Egas, where we explored the coast, looking for flora and fauna to photograph. At the end of the day, our galley crew surprised us with a BBQ dinner. Another fun day aboard National Geographic Islander.
