Sunrise found National Geographic Venture heading to the day’s destination, beautiful San Jose Island. We anchored close to a favorite spot for kayaking. A large group of us landed at Kelly’s Beach for a long hike into the arroyo, or more leisurely nature walks.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed the second part of Greg Marshall’s presentation on the “critter-cam,” while continuing to spot marine wildlife. Later on, we returned to the beach for dinner under the stars, everything perfectly arranged by the hotel department. What a treat!
