Today was our last full day of exploration in the Galapagos and we spent it on San Cristobal, one of the oldest islands in the archipelago. We landed on a green olivine beach for a hike through volcanic scenery featuring peaks of tuff high in the sky. At Punta Pitt, we also enjoyed impressive views from above. During our hike, we had close encounters with red-footed boobies, lava lizards, and the long-awaited San Cristobal mockingbird.

After beach time we observed sea lions playing on the shore and even played with them ourselves. Later we repositioned to Cerro Brujo for our last walk over a white sandy beach and turquoise ocean together with sea lions. Then we boarded our ship and passed by Kicker Rock, an impressive tuff formation jutting out of the shoreline as the sun set far on the horizon. As our journey nears completion, we were inspired by our youngest explorers. We were honored to be part of their unforgettable experience and hope one day they will make a positive change in this wonderful world of ours.

Farewell amigos.
