Today we explored two beautiful islands in the central-western part of the archipelago. The first, Rabida, has a beautiful red sand beach and an interesting walk through the cactus forest. We walked along the cliffs and mesmerizing landscapes of this special island; later we walked along the beach to swim and relax. We had the chance to snorkel with lots of colorful tropical fish and sea lions, which are abundant in this area.
As we navigated to our second location, we passed through an attractive group of rocky islets that have interesting geological qualities. One of them, Bainbridge, features a brackish water lagoon where flamingos were spotted. In the afternoon we visited Chinese Hat Island, where we enjoyed snorkeling in the company of the Galapagos penguins that nest along the shore. This last full day of our expedition ended with a stunning sunset, along with the volcanic landscape at Bainbridge islets.
