The ice binds this place together. This white continent doubles in size in the winter as the sea ice forms around the glacially capped land. It brings so much life, from the algae that accumulates and grows underneath, to the seals hauling out atop the ice to sleep. With the weather and waters constantly carving in so many various dimensions, the shapes and patterns are in permanent flux, at a very gradual pace albeit. These myriad freezing forms crystallize into our minds as memories, and hopefully dreams, as we say good night.
