What a beautiful start to our journey through the Norwegian Fjords, toward Arctic Svalbard!

Today, we visited the charming town of Loen in Nordfjorden, surrounded by towering mountains and deep blue waters. Some of us chose to take the scenic 3-mile hike up to the Briksdal Glacier, one of the most well-known and accessible arms of the Jostedal Glacier. The trail was peaceful and full of stunning views, with waterfalls cascading down the cliffs along the way. Others enjoyed a relaxing boat ride followed by a short hike to visit a smaller glacier, soaking in the quiet beauty of the landscape.

In the afternoon, we rode one of the steepest cable cars in the world, climbing 3,000 feet up a cliff overlooking the Nordfjord. The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, with snow-capped peaks, glacial valleys, and the shimmering fjord below. It was the perfect way to end a day full of fresh air, adventure, and unforgettable scenery.
