The spirit of expedition cruising was high as we traveled to Isla San Estéban in the Midriff Islands, located off the northern gulf of California. We landed on a beach full of large male sea lions and then enjoyed a day cruising in the gulf. We kept our eyes peeled for wildlife and enjoyed learning from the onboard naturalists, who shared presentations about birds and pinnipeds of Baja California, adaptations of desert plants and iPhone photography.
