We began our day with an intrepid group of photographers heading out for a sunrise Zodiac cruise along the colorful cliffs around Los Islotes. Upon their return, we began our snorkeling adventure. We floated along the underwater reefs filled with colorful fish and marine life. California sea lions swam and played around us and underneath us, giving us amazing views of their world. Upon return to the ship, we enjoyed a delicious brunch, followed by an afternoon of cruising the Gulf of California in search of charismatic megafauna. We hit the jackpot with a super pod of long-beaked common dolphins, with an estimated number of individuals near a thousand, though it could easily be more. We continued along with a pair of humpback whales diving and showing their flukes as the colorful sunset colors spread across the gulf waters, ending another very special day here in Baja California.
