What a spectacular, sunny day at Isla Espiritu Santo! This morning guests were taken ashore for a series of lovely walks past a mangrove system, through the desert magnificence, to an overlook point. We saw many species of cacti and some crabs, and we learned about desert plant adaptations and the geologic history of this highly active volcanic region of the world.

After lunch, guests went snorkeling or took a Zodiac tour in the cove. Snorkelers explored the gentle waters of the gulf, and everybody had a wonderful time! Zodiac tours observed more birds, cliffs of volcanic ash flow, and gorgeous blue waters. It was another lovely day in the Gulf of California!
