Today we anchored inside a collapsed volcano. The caldera on Genovesa Island looks like a perfect seawater lagoon. It’s located further north from other islands in the area, and with no natural predators, it is a bird’s paradise. Guests kayaked and snorkeled inside the caldera along sea lions and sea turtles. What a unique experience! From sunrise to sun set, we’ve had an excellent time aboard National Geographic Islander.
