In the late afternoon we boarded the Sea Lion right in front of Vancouver's bustling Granville Island Market. The Captain pulled away from the dock and we cruised slowly down False Creek. Since it was such a nice afternoon and there was time before sunset, we cruised around Stanley Park into the main waterfront of Vancouver. Everyone was on deck to watch the lovely city skylight and the active harbor. Our ship's naturalists were busy pointing out various geographic features surrounding us, a variety of seabirds, and even a few harbor seals. The sunset was spectacular as the Captain turned the ship to the west.
