The waters last night were “infested with humpback whales.” Their feeding activity appeared like a choreographed water dance. We watched the amazing show until well after the sun had set. Realizing that each day of our trip held one exceptional experience after another, it was hard to imagine what surprises we would encounter today. As if it had all been planned, we were able to enjoy the beauty of a cascading waterfall and the serenity of calm waters, which encouraged great conversation about our new memories. We reflected on … the brown bears chasing each other on the beach, the fantastic calving of the glacier, the feeding humpbacks, the forest walks, new friends, and on and on. Like the rest of our new experiences and with an interest in exploration, we even explored a new landing site that even the Captain hadn’t ever explored. As he so appropriately stated about our trip, “the best picture is the one that’s in your heart.”
