Amidst the swirling mist of Idaho Inlet, we launched our kayaks in the company of curious harbor seals, soaring eagles, and spawning salmon. Nearby were unrelentingly cute sea otters and tufted puffins. For the hikers, there were very recent tracks created by the Alaskan brown bears (a.k.a. grizzlys) that inhabit this place.
