We started on a blustery note in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area above The Dalles Dam. "We proceeded On" in the spirit of Lewis and Clark traveling the Old Scenic Highway to the Rowena Crest Natural Area. Part of our group opted to visit the new Discovery Center Museum in The Dalles. The rest of us viewed the Hood River valley fruit growing region from the Mt Hood Railroad. After meeting the Sea Bird in Hood River, we spent the late afternoon and early evening viewing the spectacular waterfalls, cliffs and magnificent views of the Gorge.
