So we say good bye to the islands today. It's changeover time, and a few of us are on our way to various destinations and events, some of which only happen once in our lives. Paul McFarling flies to Guayaquil to meet his new-born son, born unexpectedly a few days ago ahead of schedule, and doing fine…congratulations!. Antonio Adrian sets off for his home in Puerto Ayora to get married this coming Sunday…congratulations also! Daniel Sanchez and Paula Tagle are off for an adventure to SE Alaska on the M.S. Sea Bird, followed by travels further north. Myself, I fly home to Quito for a few days, to later catch the M.S. Endeavour as she sails around the British Isles for a busman's holiday. We spread out over the globe, but always keep the islands in our hearts wherever we go. They are a part of us all, after all these years.
