It has been another full day in the Enchanted Islands. Early in the morning around Roca Redonda we saw a feeding frenzy of sea birds. Bottle-nosed dolphins almost always hang out in the area due to the food availability, as this is the coolest, and of course, the richest part of the archipelago (due to the upwelling of the Cromwell Current). After breakfast King Neptune came aboard the Polaris. He was very mad and furious. He came together with his pretty nymph and a couple of bad, sour pirates in order to baptize some of the little creatures that had.crossed the equator line without his permission.
In the afternoon we went to Pta. Espinoza, where we saw hordes of iguanas, sun-bathing on the lava flows. Godzilla came to mind…
