Santa Cruz Island is one of the most beautiful places that you can visit. Perhaps it's a "must" to stop here. Because of the presence of the Charles Darwin Research Station, scientists here are working hard to preserve some of the endemic species which are in danger of extinction. It's one of those islands where everything is possible and anything can happen. You can even find traffic signs like this one, which is undoubtedly the only one of its kind in the world. It makes people smile, but also helps to make people understand that everybody here, scientist and resident alike, is concerned about the importance of preserving the islands.
