Bartolome Island
Today was the last day of a great adventure. This entire week was filled with many activities that have enabled us to make the most of every single day. Today was no exception!
Early in the morning our guests cheerfully went for a pre-breakfast hike. Landscapes and geology where the important topic on this hike as we climbed to the summit of Bartolome where we had a breath-taking view. After a well-deserved breakfast, everyone assembled for other activities: snorkeling, swimming, or a short hike, and some of us even relaxed on the beach. Yep, this is what life is really all about!
Later, some of our guests enjoyed a ride in our glass bottom boat and while doing so viewed the fauna that inhabit the magnificent lava formations of this island. Marine iguanas, shore birds and even penguins where spotted, along with many colorful fish and a couple white-tipped reef sharks. The penguins stole the show and made the day for some of us, when they decided to perform a full display of how they use their “flightless wings” to fly underwater.
