“Gorgeous” Playa Caletas & Corcovado National Park
We started off our day with a delightful sunrise. The clouds were billowy and the light was right for photos of the tropical waters and green jungles. As we approached the Osa Peninsula the stretchers had a complete wake-up, warm-up, work-out, and we ate a well-balanced diet before our expedition activities. The daily excursion started onshore at playa Caletas with long and short hikes. Lucky walkers saw Scarlet Macaws, parrots, Red-legged Honey Creepers, and a common Black Hawk. Others were graced with the presence of Blue Morpho butterflies. The highlight for one particular guest was a horseback ride through the palms on the exquisite shoreline.
The glorious afternoon was filled with waterfall walks at the Corcovado National Park, where trekkers saw mischievous Spider Monkeys. The other hike on the Pargo trail was awestruck by a Great Curasson. The day was filled with just enough activity mixed with chair lounging on the beach and resting in the shade.
Of course dinner exceeded all expectations and all pleasantly satiated guests retired to bed to look forward to rest and relaxation. Another beautiful day in a tropical paradise!
