You know its going to be a good day when… on route to your final destination you have to alter your course to enjoy the view of a mother and calf humpback whale feeding. When we finally reached Bear Island, which was discovered by William Barents in 1596, the guests enjoyed hiking and Zodiac tours while I slipped beneath the placid water of the Barents sea. This beautiful nudibranch warmed me inside even though my watch was telling me the water temperature was zero degrees Celsius. Nudibranchs are in the Phylum molluska, but unlike most members of this phylum they have evolutionarily had a reduction, and in most cases a complete loss, of their external shell.
