Today, the 16th, started with our entry into the harbor of Bonafacio (see the second photo). Geologically, Bonafacio shares the limestone scenery of Sardinia and it is possible to see Sardinia from the cliffs of this southernmost tip of Corsica. The town has a stunning location perched high on top of the cliffs and we had an entire morning free to explore the narrow streets of the old town in the company of our guides, the tour including a visit to the Cathedral, the Citadel and yet another Napoleon museum! There was plenty of free time to sample such local delicacies as chestnut pancakes, coffee, as well as gaufres des noisettes (hazelnut cookies). After lunch we set sail again this time for Sicily.
