This morning, we started our expedition outing very early. We visited Floreana Island, a very enigmatic location. We walked along the green sandy beach to find a brackish water lagoon that is home to dozens of flamingos. They were courting most of the time we were there, a unique sighting. Later we walked to a white sandy beach that is a very popular sea turtle nesting site and one turtle was returning to the ocean after a busy night laying eggs.

The afternoon was filled with several activities, such as kayaking and visiting the historical Post Office Bay, being this was our only post office system in Ecuador at the time. The water was warm and the sun was shining, no better way to see the Galapagos.
