To wake up early, at sunrise, on a ship sailing through Pacific Ocean waters – there is nothing better at getting one out of bed in a jiffy, dress, grab the binoculars and camera, and head out on deck. One hand for the ship, one hand for the coffee. Then…short-finned pilot whales! Dolphins! Common dolphins and bottle-nosed dolphins!
On shore we saw marine iguanas, flightless cormorants, and pa-hoe-hoe lava; by Zodiac, penguins, fur seals, volcanoes, big sky, deep ocean…Galapagos!
