After braving the wind and sailing north during the night, National Geographic Sea Bird sat quietly at anchor within this sheltered bay on the Baja California peninsula. We spent our morning kayaking and paddleboarding from the white-sand beach. We also explored the rocky coast by expedition landing craft. At midday, Hiroshi Kawashima, one of our two Road Scholar leaders, gave a stimulating presentation on the history and culture of Baja California. After lunch and snorkeling, we gathered ashore for a barbecue dinner to celebrate our last evening together aboard National Geographic Sea Bird.
