Today we got a chance to explore two different places in the central region of the Galapagos Islands. In the morning, we went to Chinese Hat Islet; there we looked for wildlife from the Zodiacs, kayaking and later, snorkeling. We also had the chance to go to a small white sandy beach and enjoyed the company of a couple of juveniles Galapagos sea lions and many Sally light-foot crabs.
This afternoon, we went ashore onto a lava flow from 1897, besides the incredible shapes of the lava, we encountered about seven Galapagos penguins sunbathing after fishing. The weather was very nice and warm with a pleasant cooling breeze.
