We started our day with a hike in the deep forest accompanied by local guides from the nearby community. We had the chance to meet the mighty anaconda and a boa constrictor! These beautiful animals shine in the middle of the humid forest with their elegant movements. We also found a tarantula that the local guide spotted in its nest. The whole morning was dedicated to looking for these creatures and ended with an encounter with a poison dart frog.
In the afternoon, we visited Amazonas community, where we were received by the villagers and guided through town. The women of this area have developed interesting programs to improve their environment and their community. We learned about dying fibers, cooking in the Amazon, and fishing sustainably.
