Overnight, we did not reposition National Geographic Sea Lion so we could have more whale watching opportunities, cultural experiences and sand dune exploration near Boca de Soledad. Once again, the guests had a fully packed itinerary: whale watching via our expedition watercraft but also walking along the mangroves and dunes on the northern tip of Magdalena Island and going ashore to Puerto Lopez Mateos to see whale bones and learn about the significance of cultural dance.
