Today we had a great chance to explore two different islands. The first one was Bartholomew, where we went ashore to climb to the top of this large cinder cone. From the top we marveled at the gorgeous landscape, which is the most photographed and published view of the islands. After this invigorating hike, we returned aboard, later heading out again for snorkeling from Zodiacs or for a ride on the glass bottom boat.
For the afternoon, we navigated towards Chinese Hat, which is an islet off the coast of Santiago Island. At this location, our guests went snorkeling, kayaking, paddle-boarding, or on Zodiac rides along the coast to look for Galapagos penguins. Weather conditions were just perfect all day long, nice sunny skies with calm seas and clear water—we were all very happy!
