We were having a relaxing morning as we waited to start our shore operations, when a small desert storm passed. While we waited, we enjoyed a grey whale presentation by one of our onboard experts. We then promptly cruised ashore for three different activity options. Some took a leisurely mangrove walk, some ventured on a moderate vista hike, while others took an exhilarating bike ride across the peninsula to the Pacific Ocean.
After lunch aboard National Geographic Sea Bird, we went back ashore for a second round of activities so people could experience yet another adventure. After people were done with their activities, we went to a local restaurant where we enjoyed freshly made ceviche and margaritas while taking in the view of the bay (and local dogs).
