Today we arrived at the Vanuatu Island of Ambrym. Guests were given the rare experience of witnessing the famed Rom dance. It’s a sacred dance filled with secrets and mystery which includes foot stomping, drum beating, and body slapping in elaborate costumes made of natural fibers. Getting up close with the dancers and high chiefs was a highlight for guests, along with the sampling of local fruits.
In the afternoon adventurous guests ventured out on a Zodiac cruise along the rugged coastline of Ambrym Island.
It was another full day of exploring!
