Thomas Hiney
Tom is a self-confessed nature geek. His passion was sparked from an early age by being read Gerald Durrell stories at bedtime and watching too many wildlife documentaries (if there is such a thing!) as a child in his native England.
Since then every stone has been turned, rock pool searched, and as many oceans, mountains, rain forests, and savannahs explored as possible. His passion for nature and exploring quickly led to him becoming a scuba and free diving instructor, only briefly interrupted by trips to Everest basecamp, hiking in the Atlas Mountains, or trekking through Indonesian rain forest (not to mentioned a couple of ultra sport events!).
His passion for conservation led to further studies in ecology and conservation management and onward to him managing Cousin Island for two years, a world-renowned conservation success story in the Seychelles.
