Sarah Grewe
Falling in love with water at an early age, Sarah continues her passion through scuba diving and exploration of our oceans. Born and raised in Michigan, the Great Lake State provides a playground for land and water activities alike. She is an avid runner, completing runs in 40 US states to date, numerous marathons and a 50K eco-run in France. Hiking adventures have included US National Parks and completing the Three Peak Challenge in the United Kingdom.
Scuba diving opened a new opportunity to further Sarah's love of the ocean. She is now an IDC Staff Instructor where she assists with training and mentoring other scuba instructors. Living in Curaçao as a dive instructor gave her a chance to be closer to the ocean and volunteer with local coral restoration and sea turtle conservation teams. Some specialties she loves to teach is dry suit, Project AWARE and rescue courses. She takes great pride in leading and exploring Michigan dive sites as well as enjoying the diversity of diving around the world.
Graduating from Grand Valley State with a degree in Secondary Education, she continues to teach Mathematics and coach students in her local community. As a lifelong learner, she earned a Masters degree from Saginaw Valley State in Educational Leadership. In her role as a Naturalist and Expedition Diver, she is excited to combine passions, share information, continue to work with conservation projects and further experience world travel.
