Randy Jones
Randy Jones hails from Northern Belize near the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, where his family lives. His childhood visits to CTWS instilled in him a deep love for birding, nature, culture and the environment.
Randy's upbringing near the sanctuary combined with his experience living abroad, naturally led him to share his passion for Belizean culture, history, and the environment as a tour guide. He has led tours since 1994, working with various tour companies (in capacities such as guide, driver, logistics manager, operations manager, ships agent, diver, boat captain etc) as well as a freelance tour guide, interacting with people from all over the world. He has worked on small ship adventures, exploring the coast of Belize and Guatemala, up the Rio Dulce to Lake Izabala as a snorkeling, naturalist and kayaking guide.
Randy is a member of the Belize Audubon Society, Belize Tourism Industry Association, Northern Tour Guide Association and Oceana. He is also a certified Belize Tourist Board trainer, grooming upcoming guides to serve in the country's fastest growing industry. His love for the outdoors has led him to dive the Blue Hole and climb Belize's second highest point, Victoria's Peak.
