Miguel Mosquera

Miguel was born in Guayaquil in 1954, close to the Guayas River. Since he was a child he loved to go to the river and learned how to sail into the Gulf of Guayaquil. Miguel is also a pilot, and got his training in the USAF and the Ecuadorian Air Force. His family lives now in the Galapagos Islands, a place where his dream came true. He enjoys working in the outdoors, offering people the opportunity to enjoy life in a different way, being close to the natural world. Nowadays he works together with the local population in educational projects to wake up awareness about the real meaning of conservation, and the importance of this Natural World Heritage Site.
